WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY OBSERVED ,JUNE 5,2024 AT AAU, KHANAPARA
Worming besides few other measures to reduce the emission of Green house gases reiterated during the ceremonial sapling plantation programme at Assam Agricultural University, Khanapara campus, Guwahati on the occasion of world Environment Day on June 5,2024, Dr P. Bora, Director of Research (Vety), AAU, Dr.R.Bordoloi, Director, EEI-NER, Dr. R.Thakuria, Director ODL-AAU, Shri A.K. Kalita State Co-Ordinator, TOFI-CIFOR- World Agro Forestry were the dignitaries present in the event ,Faculty members, students farmer staff joined in the ceremonial plantation programme which was organized by EEI – Ne Region, ODL of AAU , collaborated by CIFRO World Agro forestry .
During the event, Micro -Greens was formally launched by comprising of the group of participants who had successfully completed an ODL programme on Roof top Gardening citizens who have been joining the endeavor to keep Guwahati green by adopting Roof top Garden in their terraces also in thus statically joined the event-
