Foundation Day of EEI observed
The 37th Foundation Day of EEI was celebrated with a day long Programme at the premises of Extension Education Institute (NE Region) Khanapara, Guwahati with Dr. R. Murugesan Director NIRD Guwahati attended as chief Guest of the Programme.
Dr. R Bordoloi, Director, EEI (Ne Region) delivered the welcome Address and gave an overview of the growth and development of the institute since 1987. Former Directors Dr. D.K. Gogoi, Dr. R. K. talukdar, Dr P. K. Neog and few other Retd staff members were present on the occasion Dr. S.K. Kunhalath Director (Extn), Dr Selvams, Jt Director (Extn) attended on behalf at the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmer Welfare, Govt of India, attended.
The Programme was also attended by other distinguished persons along with representation of TOFI, CIFOR, Guwahati and representation for other EEIs.Earlier Dr. S. Borua, Faculty presented the History of EEI at Dr C. Deka, Faculty offered the vote of thank, an Attractive Cultural Function was organized on the occasion.
